Tailgating on campus is one of USC’s most beloved Game Day traditions. All on-campus tailgating takes place picnic-style on campus lawns — not in parking lots — and requires a reservation through the Game Day site. Whether you’re hosting a casual gathering with friends or a large family reunion, tailgating at USC is the perfect way to soak up the spirit, tradition, and excitement of Game Day. Be sure to review our guidelines, reserve your spot early, and get ready to tailgate like a Trojan!

🏈 Tailgate Like A Trojan: How to Tailgate On Campus at USC
Picnic-Style Only – Tailgating takes place on campus lawns—not in parking lots. You’ll pay to park in designated lots and hand-carry all supplies to your spot on foot
Reserve In Advance – All campus tailgate spaces must be reserved through the Game Day site at least 3 weeks before game day. Late reservations are subject to a fee
Setup & Teardown – You can set up 6 hours before kickoff, and tear-down must be completed by kickoff time
Bring Your Own Gear – USC does not supply tents, tables, or equipment—bring everything you need. (Electric service is available for an extra fee during registration)
No Drive-On or RV Access – Vehicles are not permitted to drive into tailgate zones on campus. RV parking is only available near the Coliseum. Please inquire with Athletics regarding this option.
Stay Family-Friendly – The Trojan Family Game Day Experience in Alumni Park offers a fun alternative for those without a reservation—complete with games, food, and activities
Adhere to Policies – Be sure to follow campus policies: no tailgating in USC Village, no glass, amplified sound or open flames without authorization, and always dispose of waste responsibly
